Objectives

The overall objective of this work package is to characterize the chromatin state at the promoters of inflammatory genes during the progression of inflammatory response and identify its sequence determinants and its implications on TF binding events.

Specific aims:

  • High-resolution maps of nucleosome location and state at promoters of inflammatory genes before and during inflammatory stimulation.
  • Characterization of changes to chromatin state induced by inflammatory response.
  • Determination of sequence features that are predictive of nucleosome positions and changes to nucleosome positions during stages of inflammatory response.
  • Analysis of the role of chromatin in modulating TF binding events and gene activation during inflammatory responses.
